Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: Physical? Bed. Internet? various LJ communities and ff.net (old school)

A fanfic of your own you recommend: um. I recently wrote a Marauder fic with my friend. And by "Marauder," I of course mean it's James/Lily: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6412765/1/Defiance_A_Marauders_Tale

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Oh!! Do you like Robin Hood? Because http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6444396/1/Dont_Sit_Under_the_Apple_Tree And all subsequent stories.

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Tonks? Just kidding. Hermione.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Out of left field, but if you know who she is, Betsy Warrington Ray, from the Betsy-Tacy series by Maud Hart Lovelace.

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Sirius Black.

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: Harry Potter. Still waiting for my letter.

Your fandoms? Harry Potter and The Dresden Files(the books, not the short-lived television show).

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Hitchhiker's Guide, The Hunger Games, Firefly

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): In Potterdom I ship Remus/Tonks, but I'll write/read the Marauders and pretty much anyone else. In the Dresdenverse, so far it's just Harry and his car but more are in the works.

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: Here on LJ, FF.net.

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Shine, a Remus/Tonks fic.

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Of Muggles and Magic, which is a Regency-era Hermione/Snape chaptered fic that I didn't think I'd like and am now addicted to, waiting on tenterhooks for another chapter, oh boy.

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Tonks, or Molly Carpenter.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Finnick Odair, of The Hunger Games. He's a cool guy.

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Harry Dresden, ya'll. He's so smokin' hot that Hell itself tries to recruit him. XD

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: All of them? Well, except for Hitchhiker's Guide, the earth kind of gets exploded in that.

Darn you for recommending that Snape/Hermione fic! I was too intrigued by the prospect of Colonel Brandon as a wizard, and now I'm three chapters in and hopelessly addictive. What a clever fic. Her Hermione is a.dor.a.ble. And her Snape is, well, Snape. And utterly compelling because he's not evil. *settles in*

Your fandoms? Almost entirely in the Horatio Hornblower and Harry Potter fandoms, with some slight detours into the quasi-historical fandom of A Knight’s Tale and the world of Garth Nix’s Abhorsen trilogy

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Chronicles of Narnia, Hetalia (manga and all series), Fullmetal Alchemist (manga and second series), Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold, Diana Wynne Jones’ Castle series, the Cadfael series by Ellis Peters, and The Queen’s Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): Archie Kennedy and Horatio Hornblower (HH); Remus/Tonks, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Bill/Fleur, basically all canon couples in HP, and Sirius Black (HP); Edward the Black Prince/Princess Joan (AKT); Mogget (Abhorsen); the Pevensies and Caspian (Narnia); Most of Europe and Asia (Hetalia); Roy Mustang and his Staff, The Elrics, Van Hohenheim, and Maes Hughes (FMA); Cazaril/Beatriz, Iselle/Bergon (Chalion); Howl/Sophie (Castle series); Brother Cadfael, Olivier, and Hugh Beringar (Cadfael); Eugenides/Irene, Helen/Sophis, the Magus, Costis, Aris, and Attolia’s ladies (Queen’s Thief series)

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: The Werewolf Registry, The Sugarquill, metamorfic_moon, HHfic mailing list/website, fanfiction.net (if I’m careful)

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Sweet Kiss http://community.livejournal.com/metamorfic_moon/48106.html (Harry Potter - Remus/Tonks, Sirius)

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Ostpolitik by gramarye1971 (Hetalia – Prussia, Germany, various background countries)

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: A mishmash of Meg and Amy from Little Women - an older sister with all the protective instincts and minor resentments that come with it combined with a bit of the younger sister’s little vanities and a sneaking suspicion that the art of others is vastly superior to my own.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Anne Shirley - loyal to the death, she’d be great fun, a trustworthy confidant, and an entertaining conversationalist

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Eugenides – clever, funny, devoted, a hopeless romantic, highly intelligent, and (again) an entertaining conversationalist

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: Howl’s Moving Castle – the people and places manage to be both fantastical and comfortably lived in, a cozy universe

A word you associate with spring: Azaleas

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you: Most of Sting’s lyrics, especially those from Ten Summoner’s Tales, from which this song originates -
Shape Of My Heart lyrics

He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins
He doesn't play for the respect
He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law of probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape, the shape of my heart

And if I told you that I loved you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a man of too many faces
The mask I wear is one
Those who speak know nothing
And find out to their cost
Like those who curse their luck in too many places
And those who fear are lost

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape of my heart

Oh, those Sting lyrics are some of my favorites, too.

And it's interesting to see you're so enthusiastic about the Hetalia fandom. I've got the first DVD out from Netflix right now, and honestly, despite a strong recommendation from someone else that led me to try it, I couldn't get into it. Maybe I need to watch a few more episodes before I send the DVD back! (I'm about at the point where Japan enters the story.)

Your fandoms:The fandoms I've been most active in are Lost, The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Heroes, and Star Trek (Reboot). I've also dabbled in Battlestar Galactica, Chalion, Lark Rise to Candleford, S&S, and The Time Traveler's Wife.

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Firefly, House, The Hunger Games (well, I've written one HG drabble, but I don't think that qualifies me for fandom participation, lol), X-Men.

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): HP: Remus/Tonks, ST: Spock/Uhura, S&S: Colonel Brandon/Marianne, BSG: Helo/Athena, Heroes: Sylar/Elle, Narnia: Caspian/Ramandu's Daughter, Caspian/Susan, Caspian/Lucy, Tumnus; Hunger Games: Finnick, Cinna; X-Men: Wolverine/Rogue

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: metamorfic_moon, The Wolverine and Rogue Fanfiction Archive, and, believe it or not, fanfiction.net

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Party Till the Wolf Comes Home Fatherhood doesn't send Remus on a pub crawl, but announcing the birth of his son to his closest friends turns out to be the next best thing.

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Her Whole Heart Devoted--A series, actually, a Marianne/Brandon sequel to Sense and Sensibility. My favorite fanfic of all time, which I've read and re-read many times in the past ten or so years.

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Anne Shirley! I'm constantly getting into scrapes (especially in the kitchen) because I'm daydreaming. Also, I frequently got caught reading novels during class, and I'm horrible at geometry.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Nymphadora Tonks, because she's so empathetic and loyal, and a lot of fun!

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Do I have to pick just one? For all I tend to fall for the brooding types, Henry Tilney from Northanger Abbey is probably closest to Mr. Tater.

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: I really wish Narnia was in the back of my closet!

A word you associate with spring: twitterpated

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you:

Your fandoms: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Robin Hood BBC, with a dash of Being Human and Merlin

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Jane Austen, Battlestar Galactica, Life on Mars (UK)

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): Lupin/Tonks, Hermione/Draco (HP), Will/Djaq or Will/Djaq/Allan (Robin Hood BBC), Arthur/Gwen (Merlin)

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: mostly right here at LJ (at various communities), sometimes at FFN and formerly at Open Scrolls. I signed up at AO3 recently, but have not read/posted there yet

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Book of Secrets (Robin Hood BBC, Djaq; G)

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Just one? TOO HARD!

Here's one from each of my main fandoms:

Lord of the Rings: Hands of the King by Anglachel (Denethor, Finduilas, Aragorn; hard R)

Harry Potter: The Werewolf Who Stole Christmas by jdbracknell (Lupin/Tonks; R)

Robin Hood BBC: The Traveller from the West by ravenya03 (Will/Djaq/Allan; PG13)

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Anne Shirley, Anne of Green Gables. The words "no scope for imagination" routinely pass through my head while doing housework, lol

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Tonks, definitely

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Oh, I'll just be totally obvious here and pick Will Scarlett from Robin Hood BBC. I like the lanky, geeky ones (which probably explains my real life choice in spouse as well, lol)

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: All of them! ;)

A word you associate with spring: Rain

You cannot quit me so quickly
There's no hope in you for me
No corner you could squeeze me

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic:
LJ! FFN too, but all the ads are a huge turn-off.

A fanfic of your own you recommend:
Five Things About Tony Stark (That Pepper…)
Tony/Pepper | Rated PG | WIP Chapter Fic
The human mind reaches out to experience life through five separate senses. It’s little wonder then that Pepper Potts is so attuned to the many stimuli of her tantalizing employer.

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend:
Falling Before Her Eyes by jentle55
Megamind/Roxanne | Rated PG | WIP Chapter Fic
Who knew that paying attention to hair could make such a difference? I know, it sounds weird, right?! Seriously an incredible story with incredible writing.

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself:
I am totally just like Jo from Little Women! Incidentally, it took me years to read the rest of the book/watch the rest of the movie after Beth died; she reminded me far too much of my little sister.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend:
At the moment, Minion from Megamind, because he’s just so adorable and sweet and loyal!

Fictional character you'd date/marry:
The Incredibly Handsome Criminal Genius & Master of All Villainy: Megamind!

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real:
Undoubtedly Star Trek, I think. Although Stargate would be pretty amazing since it’s in our time.

Your fandoms: Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, Harry Potter

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Narnia, Abhorsen trilogy, Star Trek reboot, Firefly, His Dark Materials, Crown Duel, probably half a dozen others...

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read: HP: Andromeda/Ted, Marauder era. Silmarillion: Nerdanel/Feanor. My reading tastes range far and wide in terms of characters, and I have a deep and abiding love for genfic.

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: Mostly LJ, and AO3.

A fanfic of your own you recommend: HP: Where we start from (Marauder era ensemble cast, light PG13)

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Hmmm, everything on my HP recs list. I'll have to comb through that and my LJ memories later to pick out something specific.

I'll have to come back and finish this later. Must get ready for work now! To be continued...

Your fandoms: I've only been active in Sherlock Holmes and Robin Hood fandom in recent memory, so we'll go with those.

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: All of them. But especially Marvel Adventures (I am determined to be the only Wolverine/Iron Man 'shipper ever), Brideshead Revisited and Rome.

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): I seem to have written a huge volume of Holmes/Watson. I'll try anything at least once reading and writing wise.

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: I'm beginning to crush on Ao3, but LJ will always be my first love.

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Everyone seems to love To Sleep (Holmes/Watson PG-13)

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Trapped in the Eyes of a Stranger by beeinmybonnet (Explaining this would ruin it.)

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Err. Pass? (I can think of a few, but they're a bit chicken/eggy for light discussion or so very obscure that there's no point).

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: ... none of them? All my favourite fictional characters would make really awful friends.

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Again, this would be fairly unwise, and probably end in my slightly messy death.

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: The Borrowers.

A word you associate with spring: Rain.

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you:
Well, I'm inspired by basically everything, but I'll give you the first verse of a horribly obscure but brilliant poem:

South of my days' circle, part of my blood's country,
rises that tableland, high delicate outline
of bony slopes wincing under the winter,
low trees, blue-leaved and olive, outcropping granite-
clean, lean, hungry country. The creek's leaf-silenced,
willow choked, the slope a tangle of medlar and crabapple
branching over and under, blotched with a green lichen;
and the old cottage lurches in for shelter.

- South of my days, Judith Wright

Your fandoms: I participate in Doctor Who and Sherlock, mostly; and I've just written my first fic for Hunger Games.

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Jane Austen and Firefly, mostly.

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read: ALL OF THEM! But I specialize in Amy/Rory fic for Doctor Who, and evil!Molly fic for Sherlock.

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: eleventy_kink. Doctor Who porn is where it's AT! Also AO3.

A fanfic of your own you recommend: I Thought of You. Amy/Rory + a cameo by Eleven. Rory is haunted by memories of a life that never existed.

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Rory Williams: Accidental Sex God. This is from the kink meme, but it's rated PG. Rory + Eleven: Rory uses ladies-scented body wash. Hilarity ensues. (Trust me, you need this fic in your life!)

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: I'm gonna go for the arrogant choice and say Elizabeth Bennett: I am kind-hearted, but also judgmental. Yep.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: The Doctor! I want to ride in the TARDIS so, SO bad!

Fictional character you'd date/marry: ALL OF THEM. Though lately I'm crushing pretty hard on Wash from Firefly, a show I just recently got into. (Late to the party again!) Getting past Zoe would be a problem, though... (As would *spoiler* from Serenity...)

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Growing up, it was firstly Anne Shirley and then Jo March. Maybe now it's the two scarily combined: Anne March? ;)

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Nymphadora Tonks, who'd be fun, loyal and invite me round for tea to meet her hubby.

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Lots of angst-ridden men I'd date, probably just the once!

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Well, here's the aforementioned fic meme, if you want several little tastes of my writing.

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: The Colonial Games series, a Battlestar Galactica/Hunger Games crossover. It's only about five chapters in, but it's really excellent so far, and I'm not just saying that because my sister is one of the writers. You can find it here: colonialgames

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Oh, god, that's like a mix between Miranda Hart from Miranda and Britta and Abed from Community. As you can probably tell from that description, I'm a real hoot at parties.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Tie between Donna Noble from Doctor Who, Olive Snook from Pushing Daisies, and Annie Sawyer from Being Human.

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Out of all my fictional crushes, probably Aaron from Wonderfalls.

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: I guess Community, if only because I wish my college experience had been nearly as entertaining.

A word you associate with spring: Echoing all the mentions of blossoms and flowers blooming here.

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you: "Wicked Girls" by Seanan McGuire, one of many, many songs that inspire me.

Your fandoms: Harry Potter, the Vorkosigan and Chalion series, and the Thief series are what I've written for. I'd be interested to read in lots of other ones -- but I'm not very up on recent TV shows.

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: These have nothing to do with each other, but the top two would probably be Earthsea and the Kinsey Millhone mystery series.

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): I write...in HP, Lupin, Tonks, the Marauders, and a few others from time to time. In Chalion, largely Cazaril and whoever he's talking to. ;) I've tried various Vorkosigan characters, and my favorite Thief story features Gen and Phresine. I read...lots of different characters and pairings, if the characterization and storyline grab me. I prefer writing canon ships or genfic, but I like to read non-canon pairings too.

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: metamorfic_moon, bujold_fic, and crack_broom.

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Sanctuary (Potter, Half-Blood Prince | 3045 words | PG) -- Tonks wasn't going to go to the Burrow on Christmas, until she got Molly's owl.

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Aral Vorkosigan's Dog is by one of my very favorite Vorkosigan writers, philomytha. This is a riveting multi-chapter fic, set mostly between the two halves of Shards of Honor, that develops some very convincing backstory behind how Simon Illyan came to be so loyal to Aral.

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: I can't think of any, because if I found one, that would probably make me squirm in embarrassment and stop reading. ;)

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: I think I have to join team Anne Shirley. Life would never be dull. On the other hand, hanging around Dicey Tillerman (from Cynthia Voigt's Homecoming series) would probably be good for me...

Fictional character you'd date/marry: I'd be a sucker for the Lupin or Cazaril type.

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: Lots of them? Let's say The Borrowers. I spent most of a year when I was about ten pretending to be Arietty.

A word you associate with spring: Daffodils

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you: Kareen Koudelka thinks a thought in A Civil Campaign (LM Bujold) that I try to keep in mind: "I am who I am. Now, let's see how much I can do."

I remember The Borrowers, I loved that book, I need to dig that out of storage.

I can see what you meant by overlapping fandoms, I've been considering trying a Vorkosigan novel. Is the beginning a good place to start or is there a better book in the series as far as an introduction goes?

Your fandoms: I haven't written recently for any really, but most profusely Harry Potter, Gilmore Girls and Glee

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: SO MANY! I devour fandoms like they're M&Ms and yet I never muster up the courage to really write for many. Sherlock, Bones, How I Met Your Mother, Discworld, Iron Man movieverse, Mad Men, Big Bang Theory, Love Actually. I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a chunk of them!

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks, Luke/Lorelai, basically everyone in Glee/everyone in Glee, Sherlock/John, Booth/Bones, Barney/Robin, Carrot/Angua, Tony/Pepper, Leonard/Penny, a bunch of LA canon pairings, and the list goes on...

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: LJ always has the best fanfic (lately I've been mostly on sherlockbbc and barneyrobin) though I also read on FF.net when I can't be bothered trying to find a community haha

A fanfic of your own you recommend: this is probably my most long term favourite of my own fics: ends of the earth - GG-dom, Emily & Lorelai genfic. It's a bit of a drabble. Go figure.

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: one of the best HP fics I have ever read - End of the Line by shewhoguards at FF.net

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: oh gosh, I don't even know. must ponder this one.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Ron Weasley!

Fictional character you'd date/marry: ...Ron Weasley

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: Harry Potter, so that the above would also be possible

Your fandoms: I'm not currently active in all of these, but fandoms that have occupied large chunks of my reading/writing time at one time or another are X-Men movieverse, Heroes, Star Trek 2009, and Mass Effect.

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Primarily Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. (I have written a couple of short DA:O stories, but not much other than dabbling.) Also Star Wars, both the movies and the Clone Wars series.

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): X-Men: Wolverine/Rogue; Heroes: Sylar, various het Sylar pairings; Star Trek: Spock/Uhura; Mass Effect: F!Shepard/Garrus; Dragon Age: F!Warden/Alistair, F!Hawke/Fenris, F!Hawke/Sebastian. Ah, pixelated man candy. :p

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: Mostly LJ, sometimes FFN, occasionally AO3.

A fanfic of your own you recommend: Waking Up (From the Dead) Is Hard to Do - Shepard/Garrus, Mass Effect

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Not a fandom I generally read, but I stumbled on this True Grit fic recently and loved it: We Have No Rodeo Clowns in Yell County, by saraht

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Sara Sidle from CSI: snarky and not that great with people.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Ashley Williams from Mass Effect. Strongly opinionated, but not without a sharp sense of humor. Conversations with her would never be boring!

Fictional character you'd date/marry: I'll say it's a toss-up between my two favorite male characters from Lost (which, oddly enough, is a show I have almost no desire to read or write fic for): Desmond Hume and Daniel Faraday. They're both genuinely sweet, good guys, but with enough crazy thrown in to keep things interesting. :p Also, Chuck from Chuck, because I find him utterly endearing and refreshingly stable, for the most part.

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: Star Wars.

A word you associate with spring: Rain, sadly. I live in Ohio!

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you: I like listening to Vienna Teng's songs, especially while writing. Some of my favorites are Antebellum, Gravity, and Harbor.

Your fandoms: Too many to list here, but I'd say the main ones right now are Community, Doctor Who, and Harry Potter.

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Doctor Who, Pirates of the Caribbean, Battlestar Galactica, and probably about ten more. Also, I've written once for Community but it was a crossover with very few Community characters involved, so I'd love to take a crack at a Jeff/Annie fic.

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): I'm a major shipper, and tend to read (and for some write) the following - Jeff/Annie (Community); Eleven/Amy (Doctor Who); Hermione/Draco, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Hermione/Sirius, Ginny/Blaise, Bill/Fleur, and many more (Harry Potter); Kara/Lee (BSG); Kate/Sawyer (Lost); Jack/Elizabeth (PotC); House/Cameron (House M.D.); Castle/Beckett (Castle); Spike/Buffy (BtVS); Jackie/Hyde (T70S); Sookie/Eric (True Blood); Barney/Robin (HIMYM); and yes, there's still many more after all that haha.

Favorite place(s) to read fanfic: I love recc comms here on lj, so het_reccers, and crack_broom. Also shipper specific comms (right now mostly milady_milord, which has great ff and a ton of wonderful people), and ff.net.

A fanfic of your own you recommend: I'm quite proud of all my fic, but if I had to choose I'd say my favorite is Under the Dying Sun. I hate Twilight (sorry), but I ended up writing this one-shot that somehow became my favorite out of everything I've written, so that should tell you something. I'm also quite happy with my crazy Community/Harry Potter crossover fic (here).

A fanfic of someone else's you recommend: Now there's a super hard question, as I have about 10 favorites for every one of my 30+ fandoms. One's that really stand out - this (Gossip Girl), and this and this and this (Harry Potter).

Fictional character who reminds you of yourself: Buffy, probably. Sadly, I'm not super strong and I don't slay vampires, but personality-wise we're very similar.

Fictional character you wish could be your best friend: Hmm...well most of the characters that are my favorites on screen, I probably wouldn't like in real life haha. I'd love to be friends with Anya from BtVS, or Lorelai from Gilmore Girls.

Fictional character you'd date/marry: Again, most of the guys I like on screen would be terrible boyfriends/husbands, and I probably wouldn't get along with them at all. I just went and looked over my ship list, and the only people who I think I would mesh with well are Jake Jagielski from One Tree Hill and Oliver Queen from Smallville.

Book/TV show/movie you wish was real: Easy - Harry Potter...but only if I was a witch haha. It would be boring if I was a Muggle. Or X-Men...but again, only if I was a mutant.

A word you associate with spring: Birthday :P

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you: I'm a music nut, and find it very inspiring. An album I probably listen to most often when writing would be Mumford and Sons' Sigh No More. I also like listening to instrumental music when I write, so anything off of Philip Glass' Glass: Solo Piano, or any song by Explosions in the Sky.

A poem, song, quotation, or picture (no personal pics, and please include source info about the image) that inspires you: Song from Glee "Get it Right"

What have I done? I wish I could
Away from this ship goin' under
Just tryin' to help, hurt everyone
Now I feel the weight of the world is
On my shoulders

What can you do when your good isn't good enough?
When all that you touch tumbles down?
'Cause my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just wanna fix it somehow

But how many it times will it take?
Oh, how many times will it take for me?
To get it right
To get it ri-igh-ight

Can I start again with my faith shaken?
'Cause I can't go back and undo this
I just have to stay and face my mistakes
But if I get stronger and wiser
I'll get through this

What can you do when your good isn't good enough?
When all that you touch tumbles down?
'Cause my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just wanna fix it somehow

But how many it times will it take?
Oh, how many times will it take for me?
To get it right
To get it ri-igh-ight

So I throw up my fist
I will punch in the air
And accept the truth that sometimes life isn't fair
Yeah, I'll send out a wish
Yeah, I'll send up a prayer
And finally, someone will see
How much I care!

What can you do when your good isn't good enough?
When all that you touch tumbles down?
'Cause my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just wanna fix it somehow

But how many it times will it take?
Oh, how many times will it take for me?
To get it right
To get it ri-igh-ight

Your fandoms: The Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock, Star Trek (TOS)

Fandom(s) you've never written before but would like to attempt: Hmm...That's a hard one becaue I'm really happy with the fandoms I write for right now. I might say Jeeves and Wooster... but I don't believe I could ever write anything even remotely good enough... I certainly have no plans to branch out until something else catches my fancy. :-)

Characters and/or pairings you write and/or read (or, if you're new to fanfic, which you're most looking forward to writing): My favorite characters to read and to write right now are Sherlock and John (not as a pairing...I really don't like Sherlock in a romantic relationship at all. The Windhover
To Christ our Lord

I CAUGHT this morning morning’s minion, king-
dom of daylight’s dauphin, dapple-dawn-drawn Falcon, in his riding
Of the rolling level underneath him steady air, and striding
High there, how he rung upon the rein of a wimpling wing
In his ecstasy! then off, off forth on swing,
As a skate’s heel sweeps smooth on a bow-bend: the hurl and gliding
Rebuffed the big wind. My heart in hiding
Stirred for a bird,—the achieve of; the mastery of the thing!

Brute beauty and valour and act, oh, air, pride, plume, here
Buckle! AND the fire that breaks from thee then, a billion
Times told lovelier, more dangerous, O my chevalier!

No wonder of it: shéer plód makes plough down sillion
Shine, and blue-bleak embers, ah my dear,
Fall, gall themselves, and gash gold-vermilion.
